If you want to share your first name (for the love of God, don't show your last name, people) and your age for conversational reasons then so be it, but let's keep addresses and last names (stressed again) disclosed from the public. This is the internet, after all!

Joining Characters
{&} - Use the code posted in the forum to join with. Don't reword/make your own. You are welcome to fancy it up after your character is accepted, and tuck it away in your character log, but stick to regular terms while joining.
{&} - Check the name claim in the Character Affiliated forum to make sure the name you want is not already in use.
{&} - After your character is accepted, post in the name claim yourself to prevent duplicates.
{&} - You can join as young as a weanling, though understand survival is not guaranteed.
{&} - Keep it balanced people. Don't have a ridiculous amount of stallions, and not enough mares to balance out the site.
{&} - No mythical characters. Later on in the site plot there will be opportunity to have site specific breeds and traits, but not currently.
{&} - Do not begin posting with your character until it is accepted by staff!

{&} - To claim a land, check the land claim for open lands, and then post to the land you wish to claim either in character or as an announcement of claim.

{&} - No limit on amount of mares a stallion can claim.
{&} - No word count limits, but do try to mirror what the other player has given you. This isn't a 'rule' but a suggestion.
{&} - Mares may be claimed in any area of the board unless otherwise stated in the board description. A claim must be posted in the claim board to be considered official. Keep those logs updated people, because if you forget to post there, the claim is null and void!
{&} - Mares can battle for their freedom, or find another stallion to do their dirty work.
{&} - If a character is inactive for one month (30 days), all claims for mares and lands are voided, unless absence is otherwise forewarned. The mare may choose to remain with the stallion, but I can't guarantee the land will still be available.
{&} - Battles can take place on ANY land, not just the Combat board. However, you must post a topic in the Combat board stating that there is a thread in x land involving a battle, with a link to the thread. (additional rules listed below)

Breeding

Battles
{&} - Stallions can battle for purpose of lands, blocking a steal, enforcing a steal, and for other terms discussed by members (general dislike is welcome).
{&} - Mares can battle for purposes of their freedom or lead positions.
{&} - You must be injured during battle, no exceptions. If staff feels that injuries don't match up they will post further injuries. Staff will make unbiased decisions. I trust my staff, or else they wouldn't be staff.
{&} - Decisions are final. You can challenge a rematch as soon as two weeks after the battle if you wish.
{&} - Battles are three attacks and three defensive posts.

Stealing
{&} - A steal is when a member makes a topic in the Embezzle board (a sub-board located in the Combat board) stating in plain terms, or in riddle format that their stallion is attempting to steal so and so from a different herd.
{&} - The stallion being stolen from must respond to the original steal post within three days to block the steal.
{&} - If the stallion being stolen from blocks the steal, the stallion attempting to steal has the choice to send the challenge into battle.
{&} - If the stallion being stolen from does not block the steal, the mare changes ownership from the current stallion to the challenging stallion. If the attempted steal is in riddle format, the clues must be revealed and judged before a steal is considered valid.
{&} - A mare may challenge the new stallion immediately for her freedom.
{&} - If a mare is stolen from a stallion, the stallion can challenge immediately to a battle for the mare back.
