Somewhere To Call Home

The little mare had made the journey back to Emerald Acres on her own and she was glad she had done so. It gave her time to get her mind straight and wrapped around the fact that she had a home again. It had been a little while since she had laid eyes on Gryffin but she was overjoyed about getting to join the golden stallion. He had a persona about him that the majority of stallions, especially younger ones, completely lacked. She was positive she had found the perfect place for herself. She had been able to shake all the nervous feelings you get when everything changes and is 'new' again.

Without anything or anyone tell herself she knew when she had reached emerald acres. She had heard about it enough to recognize it if seen, but it was even more beautiful than she had ever heard. Simple in its ways the beautiful land before her stretched out in open, even bright green grasses of spring. A glittering stream of water snaked its ways through the very center of the lands in the distance, very few trees scattered around it here and there. She had come to a stop without even realizing it, breath taken by the scenery before her. She sighed, completely relaxed in her new home already.

But where was Gryffin? Surely he would have beaten her home, he knew the way better and was much more physically equipped to cover ground much faster than her even at a walk. She snorted, shifting her weight in uneasiness. Hopefully nothing had happened to him... She let out her high-pitched, yet soft, whinny calling for him. She heard it ring across the open grounds, if he was close he would hear her. She set off towards the stream, she would wait there...
