all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Cold winds carried across the meadow and with it came the snow, cold and unkind winter was in town. The tiny crystal's fell silently as the horizon began to darken, clouds of grey and black spotted the atmosphere and fog began to circle. Today was not a day many would dare venture out in, but Valkyrie had plans of her own. And this weather seemed to suit her very well, dark and cold just like her personality. Honestly it was a tad funny how well mother nature had accented today to suit her. Ears of the darkest of ebony twitched atop her skull as she let her crimson gaze wander the space before her, the once lush green grasses now buried beneath an inch of snow so that not even the emerald stalks could be seen. The cold breeze nipped at her face sending thousands of tiny snowflakes spinning and clinging at her mane and tail. Leaving her with a veil of snow which clung to her long silken tresses in a way it seemed to actually accentuate the coldness of her being. Flicking her tail she turned legs carrying her easily over the earth as her feathered hooves packed the snow beneath her. Making her way closer towards the tree line she had vowed to be her resting spot, simply for the reason that the branches they offered were going to make a perfect break from the wind and would offer a very nice escape from the falling snow. Closing the distance between herself and the tree's her forelock fell back into her eyes concealing the menacing eyes that laid just beneath. As her pace was halted she flipped her forelock back once more so her gaze was able to examine her surroundings. She had managed to make her way pretty deep into Pandora's meadow and was now simply waiting. She knew why so many mares came here, most were in search of a herd to join. Val was here for the same reason but perhaps a little less desperate then most. She could care less if a stallion came forth to speak with her, she had just thought that maybe a herd would be a nice change. Though she had never really gotten along with other horses well enough to actually reside within a herd. So this little plan may not end very well, for her it would end fine because either way she wouldn't care but if she did join a herd and then found herself not playing well with others it was them who would surely suffer. But then Val really had no intentions of worrying about such things, everything would play out just the way it needed to and she would just play a role in the story that would unfold. Shifting slightly she lowered her neck to where she was able to graze at what little grass still dared to peek out from beneath the icy embrace that had laid claim to the meadow. The lush coat of hers keeping her warm as tiny droplets of water dripped down onto her backside from the frozen crystal's that clung to the thousands of branches above her. Her long forelock once again falling back down over her face, much like a cascade of ink it spilled out onto the earth before her as she let her mind wander and her muzzle move lazily about collecting the sweet grasses within her mouth to chew. I hold a beast, an angel, and a madman in me. - Dylan Thomas F E N R I R The winter storm does not suit Fenrir quite the way it does Valkyrie. He is more a creature of night-time shadow, when all have gone to sleep, and have left the world for him to hunt. Fenrir thrives on the pristine stillness offered upon the altar of moonlight. He prefers the sudden chaos that escapes through the whites of the eyes when death is near, and then the solemn silence afterwards. But, night is far off, and the weather has trapped him here in Pandora’s Meadow, far from the Wildwood. So, the red-black stallion waits amongst the naked trees, sheltered from the spitting winter storm. Still, frost has managed to dust his topline through the bare branches, accentuating the unkempt waves of his mane and tail. Here, within the trees, the bite of winter wind is lessened. Still, it whistles and howls, and buffets against all that stands against it. Fenrir watches the loose snow swirl and twist across the surface of the heavy blanket that has managed to cover all of the meadow grasses. A dark figure comes near. She wears the winds, and roiling clouds as if they were a cloak. For a moment, Fenrir sees a flash of red near her eyes before her forelock covers them from his sight. His own eyes are the same deep red as his hide. He wears the deepest of blood red hues, so deep that they are often mistaken for black. Had he not been born of flesh and bone, perhaps he would have been all made up of wolf’s blood, and night shadow. In another life, far from this one, he had indeed been born of a wolf. But, those are stories for another time. The dark mare settles into the trees, unaware of the creature that resides just a little further into the shadows than she. Fenrir watches her silently for a time. He wonders if she can see through the mass of hair that she wears like a veil over her eyes. Fenrir’s own hair is quite lengthy. His mane all but drags the ground, but his eyes are always watching, always clear with that predatory gleam. The wind shifts, and Fenrir know that his scent will soon betray his position. So, he moves to join her, closer to the treeline. “Lovely weather.” He says with a sneer, settling beside the black mare. “Are you a spectator, or a participant?” He asks, motioning towards the open meadow where a few stand huddled together against the storm. It is common knowledge that mares come here to find homes, and stallions come like crows to steal away anything worth stealing. Fenrir is no different, although he is a mite more particular as to whom he deems worthy of his time. He extends his nose to hers to exchange breaths, an instinctual custom that has not yet been lost to him as it has others.

all the kids cried out please stop you're scaring me I can't help this awful energy god damn right you should be scared of me who is in control? Extending her nose towards his as well they exchange breath in this form of greeting, which may very well be the only polite thing she does. Crimson gaze narrowed upon the stallion who dared intrude upon her thoughts, her laugh escaping her vocals just as she glanced off towards the few mares who were dumb enough to let themselves be caught within the meadow with no shelter . Tsking she rolled her eyes then looked back at the stallion. "It's funny isn't? There so pathetic" she cooed tossing the long silken tresses of her forelock from her face. The more she studied the stallion she could not hide the cynical looking smile that crept over her lips, his eyes were as red as blood so dark and cold they almost passed as black and held a most predatory gleam about them. A small chuckle escaped her vocals as she looked him over once more. Mulling over his question she could not help the wicked smiled that manifested upon her face "My dear I would never lump myself with mares like that. But to answer your question it's a mixture of both. I find it amusing watching them so, but at the same time I came here in search of something in particular. Now if i find it, is a completely different story" Shifting she moved closer towards the trunk of the tree just as the winds picked up and sent thousands upon thousands of snow flurries swirling into the air. "Now it's my turn to question you. Did you come to the meadow to claim one of them?" Shifting her gaze she once again tossed it off into the direction of the mares that stood huddled together shivering in the freezing winds. If he had that was sad because they were hardly promising at all, they lacked a certain finesse Val found important in others. Though this stallion before her did seem a little different then most she had come across over the years. The very air around him hummed with vicious intent which caused her to smile inwardly at the very thought of sharing company with someone so malevolent. It was like a breath of fresh air she found herself enjoying far too much. Cocking a hoof she relaxed the wind no longer bombarding her as it had been just moments before, let her gaze roam about her surroundings she narrowed her unforgiving gaze upon him once more. "So may I ask your name?" she cooed softly her eyes falling upon his as she offered him an impish smile, which played nicely upon her ebony stained lips. It was time to play.

I hold a beast, an angel, and a madman in me. - Dylan Thomas F E N R I R The wind stirs the loose snow from the ground as the black mare shifts closer to a nearby tree. Fenrir cannot help but notice the disadvantage the mare has given herself by closing off a possible route of escape. Perhaps, this was more a sign of her instinct though. Perhaps, it was not in her to flee, just as it was not necessarily in him. She comments on the mares that stand huddled out in the open meadow, and Fenrir follows her gaze. “Those are such, whether they know it or not, that are crying for a savior, or a gentleman.” Damsels in distress, needing a hero to shelter them from the cold. “I am neither.” He answers her truthfully. It’s not that his mother hadn’t taught him. Fenrir knows the way to charm, and to guile his way into the favor of another. But, even those that he has fooled in that past, now, undoubtedly, know the snake that lies behind all of his pretty promises. He will lie to Valkyrie too, but perhaps in different ways than he would if he were to attempt to woo one of the shivering mares huddled against the cold. His gaze slowly returns to seek out hers as she asks his name. Her voice melts away her icy demeanor, beckoning him to let his guard down and step closer. Her impish lips implore softly, sweetly, but Fenrir does not touch, not yet. “My name is Fenrir.” he offers, his voice matching the hollow howls of the wind. “And, what shall I call you?” He lists closer, his head angled slightly sideways in question. Indeed, let the games begin.
